Schools and students, we have especially been thinking about you wonderful people as we’re rolling out our 12 Days of Awesome. You are important.

Since day one, schools have played a huge role in our motivation for getting characters out. It was while our CEO Andrew Conroy was teaching animation to college students that Long Winter Studios was born. He was tired of mediocre tools and rigs for students and thought students should have access to film-quality materials like he used in the industry – and that they would eventually use! – and ones they could actually afford.

Well, today we get to talk about why we have the best characters for animation students, and about our serious discounts for schools!

Why are Long Winter rigs the best for students?

Individuals get the killer price of $10/per month. But we know how school budgets work and when you have dozens (or hundreds!) of students who need tools, the costs per student matter. A lot. And we know that to graduate the best animators, riggers, TDs, etc., schools have to use the best materials out there, so we are giving major discounts to schools who sign up for multi-seat memberships.

The cost will ultimately depend on the number of students you have in your group. The bigger the number, the lower the cost. In fact, we have a couple schools already signed up for the new service at $1/per student per month!
